Training - Noise Awareness

noise awareness photo Prolonged exposure to high noise levels can result in hearing damage that is irreversible. This course is designed to train individuals working in environments where exposure to high noise levels is a workplace hazard. The European Communities (Protection of Workers) (Exposure to Noise) Regulations applies to all workers working in environments where noise is a workplace occupational safety hazard.

Content Of Training

Familiarisation with relevant health and safety legislation
Understanding how noise damages hearing and health
Noise protection and conservation
Selection of appropriate PPE
Physiology of hearing
Audiometry

Training Resources

Classroom tuition. Audio-visual presentation equipment (overhead projector, flip chart or white board, video). Relevant handouts given.

Course Evaluation & Certification

Individuals are required to complete a written assessment and are awarded a certificate on completion.

Venue & Duration

Training is normally conducted at the employer's premises. Training takes 3 hours per group.

Number Of Delegates

Maximum 15 individuals per group.
