Ergonomics for Instructors & Assessors
Companies having sufficient personnel and resources can now have their own in-house qualified ergonomic co-ordinator(s) at an affordable cost to train employees and assist in carrying out risk assessment. This course is intensive and highly interactive, training participants in the skills and techniques to introduce other workers to the concept of ergonomics and prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSD).
Participants learn how to conduct ergonomic risk assessments and implement effective control measures.
The course helps contribute to the prevention of musculoskeletal injuries amongst workers while increasing the effectiveness and efficiency with which work and other activities are carried out.
Content Of Training
Training Resources
Active classroom tuition including Q & A sessions, brainstorming, case studies, group exercises. Audio-visual presentation equipment (overhead / LCD projector, flip chart or white board, video). The use of props (mock-up or real workstation). Relevant course material such as power point presentation, references, assessment checklists are provided.
Course Evaluation & Certification
Individuals are required to complete a
formal
assessment
and are awarded a certificate on completion.
Venue & Duration
Training can be carried out on site at suitable workplace location or off site. The course is normally delivered over 3 Days with follow-up ‘refresher’ training recommended and provided.
Number Of Delegates
Maximum 12 individuals per group.
