Training - Chemical Handling
Individuals
who handle chemicals or may be expected to handle chemicals in the event
of emergencies should be trained to know the hazards and how to protect
themselves from exposure. This course allows individuals to gain a greater
appreciation of the hazards that chemicals pose to their health and safety..
Content of Training
Training Resources
Classroom tuition. Audio-visual presentation equipment
(overhead projector, flip chart or white board, video). Practical demonstrations
and exercises on case study or in the workplace where feasible. Relevant
handouts given.
Course Evaluation and Certification
Individuals are required to complete a written assessment
and are awarded a certificate on completion.
Venue and Duration
Training is normally conducted at the employer's premises.
Training takes 4 - 6 hours per group.
Number of Delegates
Maximum 12 individuals per group.
