Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should only be used as a last resort according to Legislation when all other controls on a general or collective basis are inappropriate or ineffective to protect employees.

Personal Protective Equipment is not a fashion accessory, its designed to protect users and hence requires employers to provide health and safety information, training and instruction to employees.
